GAME OF THE WEEK: Wissahickon 50, LaSalle 48 - While the Explorers were hit with a tough stretch of non-league games over the Holidays, the young team showed they can held their own with the likes of Wissahickon and Council Rock North. They did not always find a way to win and now find their record at 3-5 overall, but they definitely displayed their talent and will be no easy out down the stretch in the PCL. Amar Stukes led the way with 15 points, but the combination of multiple Trojans closed out the two-point win in the Jameer Nelson Classic at Plymouth-Whitemarsh. Chase Wilson led the way with 18 points and Tonah Kpassagnon hit a free throw down the stretch to secure the win. Jordan Reed scored seven of his 14 points in the third quarter.ATHLETE OF THE WEEK: Jordan Reed (Wissahickon) - The senior's performance not only solidified the team goal of winning its own Holiday Tournament, but last Wednesday against Frankford Reed put his name is the Trojans' record books. In the midst of scoring a career high 39 points, the highly touted small forward eclipsed 1000 career points. Reed is averaging over 20 points per game and finds his team atop the Suburban One American Conference standings.
