GAME OF THE WEEK: St. Joseph's Prep 51, North Penn 33 - While the Knights have shown flashes of excellence in areas, the secondary has been torched in their challenging non-league schedule. In the second half of games they have wide receivers get loose. The Hawks' Skyler Mornhinweg, a Penn State signee, unloaded for six total touchdowns (4 passing and 2 rushing) for a total of 386 yards (232 passing and 154 rushing). The Knight's quarterback Corey Ernst did his best to keep up as he went to the air for four scores and 358 yards in the loss.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Abington 38, Souderton 17  - Ray Schreiner (Abington) - When most people thought the Indians were too tough of a match-up for the Galloping Ghosts, especially playing comfortably in the confines of Souderton, running back Ray Schreiner and the Ghost offense put themselves on the map. Schreiner, a 5-foot-7 burst of energy, totaled 198 yards (98 rushing, 100 receiving) with four touchdowns. It was an early blow to the Big Red psyche.

Former Arizona Cardinals' head coach Dennis Green said it best - "They are not who we though they were"

Plymouth-Whitemarsh 20, West Chester Henderson 0 - Good new for the Colonials - why we thought they were a potent offense with athletic players at the right positions, it turns out the defense can cause some havoc as well. The Colonials caused eight three-and-outs and showed they may be built for the postseason.

Council Rock South 2, Pennridge 0 - The weird score was in result of weird or unexpected play by both teams. We thought the Golden Hawks were one of the best teams in District One, but against a young Pennridge team they failed to move the ball and fumbled four times, luckily to be recovered. The handoffs were sloppy and truthfully were lucky to leave Perkasie with a win. The Rams, who still cannot put it all together, did show they might have some talent lingering in the lineup, especially on defense.

Wissahickon 21, Central Bucks West 14 - The Trojans looked down and out after two weeks, but a win over a talented Bucks squad opens the eyes as a possible momentum changer. Improved play up front on both sides of the ball helped the running game get going, and maybe they have a better shot a postseason bid than we thought a week ago.
