Breakin' down the 3A First Round Match-Ups

Pottstown at Upper Moreland - The initial frustration of being the small team in a big conference will come back to help the Golden Bears in the postseason. The lone 3A school in the Suburban One American Conference has prepare them to play with best teams in their district tourney. The Bears may decided to go Box-and-One on defense to Antonio Moore (18 ppg) of the Trojans, but I would not be shocked if the Bears win here and give the Prep a good run in the next round.

Lower Moreland at Pope John Paul II - I look at two polar opposites here. If they Lions want to win they need to rely on rebounding and defense. If they can hold PJP to one shot per possession, with a talented point guard like Jared Cohen they have a shot. But the Panthers' Brent Mahoney has been shooting likes out recently and Jamal Stinson averages over 15 per game. I'll take the two dangerous scoring options over the scrappy Lions.
