High School Hoops: 1/30/2-2 Scores & Scoring Leaders

GAME OF THE WEEK: North Penn 64, Hatboro-Horsham 57 (OT) - Mike Brown was once again playing the part of scoring machine and senior leader. But on Friday the Knights' senior leader Mike Swanson decided he was going to be the better scoring machine for the night. It took overtime to knock off the first place Hatters and 24 points by Swanson sent the Knights into a frenzy. After the week and a 5-game win streak they sit with a 10-10 record.

ATHLETE OF THE WEEK: Nick Lindner (Germantown Academy) - Without Nick Lindner the Patriots would still be one the top teams in the area. They have size (Julian Moore) and athleticism (Greg Dotston) and a savvy shooter (James Drury). But they certainly would not be 8-0 in the Inter-Ac and have their offense as run as smoothly as it does. The Lafayette commit can score if he needs to - like the 24 against Haverford School, but what the point guard does best is facilitate. He had 10 assists in the win over Malvern Prep.
