Coach of the Week: Nikki Thren (Pennridge Fied Hockey)
There is no such thing a seniority when it comes to winning field hockey games. First year coach Nikki Thren has come into Pennridge without any preconceived notions about her players and the equal opportunity has help the Rams start off the season with a bang. Class ranks and previous accomplishments have been disregarded and the former All-American at Ursinus is putting her best lineup on the field based on what she has seen since taking over this summer.

Freshamn Addy Marshall and Haley Taylor combined for six of the 11 goals. Junior Kelly Herd, whose varisty minutes were few and far between a season ago, contributed with two goals and four assists.
Merely two years removed from college field hockey herself, Thren's fresh point of view has given the Rams a hole new outlook on the season as they prepare for the tougher assignments in league play.
