BOYS BASKETBALL (click here to read most recent game story)
Preseason expectations: When you have won six games in two seasons it is pretty difficult to put lofty goals on the upcoming. Sure, the Rams were excited about bringing back all five starters, but the original goal had to be to win more than the five games they won the previous season.
Where they currently sit: The Rams experience has paid off and they sitting pretty atop the Suburban One Continental Conference. They are a game up on North Penn and two up on everyone else. Plus, they have beaten the Knights twice. They probably will also make the district playoffs as well. The newest question is what is the new goals? a league title? a win in district? district finals? Or is it already a successful season with a 14-4 record.
Team MVP: Tim Abruzzo (Jr.)
Breakout player: Jared Schaffer (Sr.)

GIRLS BASKETBALL (click to read most recent game)
Preseason expectations: With a new coach and the top three scorers (Simononis, Dominic, Franchois) all moving to the collegiate level, the Rams knew it was going to be some what of a building season.
Where they currently sit: I do not think the Rams thought they would pick up their first win on January 31st, but that is they way things have panned out. They have shown glimpses and worked hard, but until Upper Perk on Monday the young Rams have unable to close out opponents.
Team MVP: Jen Cooley (Jr.)
Breakout player: Jordan Rimmer (Fr.)

WRESTLING (read the recent feature about Richie Jasinski)
Preseason expectations: The hire of former Pennridge state champion Dan Goetter was a promising move. The new head coach was committed to the long term and building form the young grapplers on up. The Rams had wrestlers such as Richie Jasinski, Alex Barday and Dylan Moore that had legit hopes for deep playoff runs. A league title was not a long shot, but they were aware how difficult the Suburbon One Continental Conference was.
Where they currently sit: The Rams are out of the league title mix, but they are getting stronger and peaking at the right time. Jasinski got a late start to the season, but has not been defeated and a freshman tandem has stormed on the scene. 103-pounder Scott Parkers is 24-1 and and 112-pounder Ben Ross is currently 24-4.
Team MVP: Scott Parker (Fr.)
Breakout player: Ben Ross (Fr.)

ICE HOCKEY (read a recent game story)
Preseason expectations: With a new coach and a large amount of seniors graduating the Rams new it could be a long season. They saw they had a lot of skilled skaters, but were unsure how the lack of experience would effect their season.
Where they currently sit: The Rams are 4-12-1, but still have a chance of grabbing one of the last spots in the playoffs. They were prepared for this type of season, but with amount of goals they scored this season they are frustrated and feel they should have a better record.
Team MVP: Matt Brown
Breakout player: Justin Roberts
