The Montgomery Media area continues to churn out some talented football players. Scattered throughout the area are a number of Division-One athletes. The All-Montgomery Media preseason football team proves that.

This is not considered the official Montgomery Media team, but I do give it that named based on the criteria to be selected by myself and fellow writers Mike Prince, Tom McGlinchey, and David Uram.

FIRST TEAM OFFENSE
RB Desmon Peoples
QB - Andrew Derr (Upper Dublin)
RB - Desmon Peoples (Archbishop Wood) - There is a reason many think the Vikings will cruise to the AAA state championship game in Hershey this season. Not only do they have a large amount of returning stars back, those stars are Division-One talents. Desmon is committed to Rutgers, Brandon to Temple, Thompson to Florida, Taylor to Boston College and Arcidiacono also to Rutgers.
FB - Brandon Peoples (Archbishop Wood)
OL - Frank Taylor (Archbishop Wood)

TE - Colin Thompson (Archbishop Wood)
WR - Travis McCurdy (Academy of the New Church)

FIRST TEAM DEFENSE
DE - Brian Osei (Abington)
DT - Kavon Johnson (Plymouth-Whitemarsh)

TE/ILB Ralph Reeves
LB - Ralph Reeves (North Penn) - While no one in Lansdale is worried about the Knights, they did lose a lot of last year's production to graduation. Luckily Reeves is back and should be a force on both sides of the ball.   The three-year starter at tight end and inside linebacker is a playmaker.
CB - Brandon Shippen (Norristown)
S - Casey Saverio (Hatboro-Horsham)

SPECIAL TEAMS
K - Jeff Wolf (Souderton)
K - Brandon Mandes (North Penn)

WR Sean Coleman

SECOND TEAM OFFENSE
QB - Corey Ernst (North Penn)
RB - Javon White (Souderton)
FB - John Kehoe (Lower Moreland)
OL - Brandon Arcidiacono (Archbishop Wood)
TE - Tonah Kpassagnon (Wissahickon)
- At 6-7 and 245 pounds Tonah is an athlete. He joins Souderton's Javon White as the latest to commit to Villanova. The Wildcats love to snatch up combine stars and that is what they have with White and Kpassagnon.
WR - Sean Coleman (LaSalle)

SECOND TEAM DEFENSE
DT Anthony Fecondo
DE - Tyler Smith (Lansdale Catholic)
DT - Anthony Fecondo (Pennridge)
LB - Keith Corliss (Germantown Academy)
CB - Anthony Delegall (Wissahickon)
S - Max Vido (Springfield Township)
- They call him the everything man in Erdenheim. Vido, who also plays guard on the basketball team and a three-hitter for the baseball also lines up everywhere on the gridiron. He'll play running back, he'll kick, he'll punt. He's the Spartans top play maker.

HONORABLE MENTION OFFENSE
QB - Kenneth Cropper (Abington) - Cropper captured the hearts of Cheltenham last year as he helped rebuild that program in a conference contender. But the signal callers is a Ghost now in more ways than one. The transfer should help Abington compete for a league title.
RB - Conner Geiger (William Tennent)
FB - Darren Wright (Bishop McDevitt)
QB Ken Cropper
OL - Andrew DiValentino (Jenkintown)
TE - Ry Yozallinas (Souderton)

WR - Robert Knox (Upper Moreland)

HONORABLE MENTION DEFENSE

LB Tyler Scholl
DE - Jake Newman (Pennridge) - It was tough to score points against the Rams last year and Newman was one of the reasons. Newman has a quick first step off the edge and he and fellow lineman rarely allowed a quarterback more than a three-step drop. Newman has a chance to be among the leaders in the area in sacks this season.
DT - John Garland (North Penn)
LB - Tyler Scholl (Souderton)
CB - Aquil Reed (Cheltenham)
S - Nate Smith (Archbishop Wood)
