To help pass the time between now and the start of the 2013 PIAA High School Football season I am going to be giving a look at two teams a day. I will give try to call out a few impact student athletes on offense, defense, as well as pinpoint one of the storylines as they open training camp.

Check this blog all season for scores, stats, and predictions, and players of the week...

Head Coach: Anthony Owens

Last year's record: 3-6 overall (1-5 in BAL)

Training Camp Question: Just when the Drakes start seeing the results of working all season to learn a new coach's schemes and strategies the season ends. The off-season begins with excitement heading into year two, in this case, with Phil Gormly. But for the all the momentum gained by finishing strong, it gets squashed when the changing of the guard happens again. Anthony Owens will be the Drakes sixth head coach in seven years. Harold Smith (08-09) was the only guy to hang in with small school for back-to-back seasons and those seniors are now where freshman in their final year. Bottom line for the Drakes is they need to go out, have fun, and play football, hope Owens can show them a thing or two. Maybe he sticks around for more than one season.

Offensive Standout: Sr. Jake Hamilton (RB)
Defensive Standout: Sr. Cooper Beaupre (LB)
Breakout: Jr. Jamie Griffin (QB)

Head Coach: Tom Kirk

Last year's record: 5-5 overall (1-2 in AAA PCL)

Training Camp Question: READ Lansdale Reporter Sportswriter Mike Cabrey's full story here about year two under AA Philadelphia Catholic League Coach of the Year Tom Kirk

Offensive Standout: Sr. Zach Talley (TE)
Defensive Standout: Sr. Nick Albanese (DL)
Breakout: Jr. Joe Pinzka (QB)

Check back tomorrow for LaSalle and Lower Moreland
