To help pass the time between now and the start of the 2013 PIAA High School Football season I am going to be giving a look at two teams a day. I will give try to call out a few impact student athletes on offense, defense, as well as pinpoint one of the storylines as they open training camp.

Check this blog all season for scores, stats, and predictions, and players of the week...

Head Coach: Chris Shelly

Last year's record: 5-6 overall, 1-6 in Suburban One American Conference

Training Camp Question: Back in the SOL for another year, can the Spartans stand up to the big, bad American Conference. Things may be easier if their big junior Chris Stone can limit the mistakes and take advantage of his big arm. One thing is for sure though, this team is going to compete because coach Chris Shelly's passion for his players is such as positive influence and his team will always give it everything they have.

Offensive Standout: Jr. Chris Stone (QB)
Defensive Standout: Sr. Jhaloni Johnson (DB)
Breakout: Jr. Martin Worgan (RB)

Head Coach: Chad Brubaker

Last year's record: 12-3 overall, 7-2 in PAC-10

Training Camp Question: The combination of Jarred Jones and Tate Carter is tantilizing and the duo should have no problem racking up the yards this season. But the Rams still are trying to figure out how they are going to get the ball in their hands and who is going to be this year's quarterback. The trio of Zac DeMedio, Brandon Leacraft, and Matt Daywalt are all competing for the chance to pick up where Hank Coyne, the school's all-time leader in yards and touchdowns, left off. Coyne's at Juniata and if one of the three possible quarterbacks and step in and grasp Brubaker's offense, the Rams could make another deep postseason run.

Offensive Standout: Sr. Jarred Jones (RB)
Defensive Standout: Sr. Mason Romano (DE)
Breakout: Jr. Matt Daywalt (QB)
